Cd rom drive not showing up windows vista
Hi, Code 39 means the driver is corrupt or missing. Even if drive is not shown continue below. Then work your way through these - remember the drive could be bad, could have a loose cable or slight corrosion on the contacts usually for a laptop and other issues. Remove ALL power, then check cables in both ends. Remove and replace, do not just snug. For laptops you can often clean the power and data contacts with a pencil eraser.
Or even if there are old ones you can reinstall. Many use the Windows Default drivers however a few will have special ones. Also check the drive maker's site. Check out the forums and get free advice from the experts.

Hi There Usually when we go to my computer, we see our hard drives and the dvd room drive icons.
When we insert the cd, we can open the dvd drive folder. When I went to the device manager, I clicked on the device properties of dvd drive and saw this message ''Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged. Code 19 Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available'' I am also attaching a screenshot.
My laptop is just 2 months old and I'm really looking forward to your help Thanks a lot Regards, Muneeb. Community Forum Software by IP. Board Licensed to: Geeks to Go, Inc. Facebook Twitter.
