Batman begins psp game part 1

Movie tie-in games can be a real hit or miss type of title. Combine that with a superhero franchise and you are asking for trouble.

Though Batman games have managed to find solid ground within the industry, almost paving the way for the rest of the heroes through the Arkham series. Though just before that run of titles came Batman Begins. For those that really enjoy the caped crusader, this game has a lot to offer you. The brilliant voice acting from Christian Bale and Liam Neeson is a standout addition to the game. The gameplay is really what lets this game down. The game tries to borrow assets from other popular games of the time in its movement, combat style and progression systems and through doing so, offers very little unique moments.

This combined with a completely accurate rendition of the plot and events of the movie meant that there was little surprise or intrigue to be had. If we think of this movie tie-in as a sounding board for better games to come then this somewhat average title can be forgiven.

This game tries a plethora of different things. Throwing a tonne of mechanics at the wall to see what sticks and because of this, the whole experience is diluted in the process and somewhat overwhelming at times.
